Eyes on the speaker,
your language in your ears

In foreign-language lectures and meetings, LecSync transcribes and translates in real time, then reads the translation to you in a natural voice. Watch the speaker and the slides; glance at the captions only when you miss something.

Sound familiar?
“

Switching between the slides and the captions, and falling behind on both?

“

Worn out halfway through a foreign-language lecture, and catching up on the rest from the recording later?

“

Reading translations in a meeting and missing faces and the whiteboard?

Like an interpreter sitting next to you

Translated live, then read to you.

Read aloud sentence by sentence

Within seconds of the speaker finishing a sentence, you hear the translation in your earphones. Long sentences are split at commas, so you never wait for a whole paragraph.

Keeps up with fast speakers

When the speaker talks fast and translations pile up, playback speeds up automatically without changing pitch, so it catches up instead of falling further behind.

A voice you like listening to

Choose a male or female voice and preview it first. Adjust the speed from 0.8× to 1.5×, and pick which earphones or speakers to play through.

Captions and recording stay intact

Listening is just one more way to follow along. The transcript, translation, and audio are saved as usual, and bilingual study notes and summaries are still generated after class.

Put on your earphones and go

Three steps to hear any lecture in your language.

01

Turn on interpretation

Turn on Simultaneous Interpretation on the recording page and choose a voice and speed. You can switch it on or off and adjust it while recording.

02

Pick languages and record

Set the speaker’s language and the language you want to hear, put on your earphones, and start recording.

03

Watch and listen

Each sentence is read into your earphones once the speaker finishes it. Missed something? The bilingual captions are on screen.

FAQ

Common Questions

1How is this different from live translation?
Live translation shows the translation as captions. Simultaneous interpretation also reads it aloud in an AI voice. Both run at the same time: listen with your ears, and glance at the captions when you miss something.
2Which languages can it read aloud?
Translations can be read aloud in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian. The speaker can use any of the 60+ languages LecSync transcribes and translates.
3How far behind the speaker is it?
About one sentence. LecSync waits until a sentence is mostly finished so the translation is accurate, then usually starts reading within a few seconds. When the speaker talks fast, playback speeds up to catch up.
4Do I need earphones?
We recommend them. If you play the translation through speakers, your microphone picks it up again and it ends up in the transcript.
5Which plan do I need, and where can I use it?
Simultaneous interpretation is included in the Business plan. It is available on the web today: just open LecSync in a desktop browser. The mobile app is coming soon.
